Participation of CLIC project in the “Cultural and creative cities for all” – Knowledge Exchange Platform workshop

The workshop was meant to emphasize how integrating immigrants can contribute to the revitalisation of historic centres, thus highlighting the benefits of an inclusive and adaptive re-use of built heritage. The “Cultural and creative cities for all” workshop showcased innovative solutions in cities and regions to empower people with special needs, minorities, the young and the elderly to fully access heritage sites and creative activities. This initiative, organized by European Commission – DG RTD , European Committee of the Regions – SEDEC Commission, stressed the importance of inclusive cultural and creative activities to wellbeing, health, social cohesion and competitiveness.

The programme consisted of two consecutive workshops that contributed to the European Year of Cultural Heritage. It hosted high level panelists, representatives from the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission, H2020 research and innovations projects.
